What I liked about this game is the title, which caught my attention. The story is not really that gripping; it takes place in The Great Gatsby's mansion -- and you will know who this is if you have read your American Literature. Your job is to explore the mansion for clues to save your friend Amy. Oh, your job before that was trying to restore the mansion to its former glory. The atmosphere, however, is catchy. I loved the hand painted scenes; they are lively and well, vibrant if you will. The dark hall, the dusty corridors, the grim office of Gatsby and more all contribute to the game. As for the music, I noticed it is kind of absent knowing such games are renowned for their great soundtracks. Overall, I would give it the following ratings:Story= 6\/10Atmosphere = 9\/10Music = 4\/10 You could say the overarching rate would\/could be 7\/10. Well, it is a good game and might be your cup-of-tea kind of games.. Eh, it's so far a decent HOG-- nothing spectacular but not bad. It's pretty buggy on my computer though. The cursor frquently keeps disappearing and reloading on a different part of the screen. Haven't been able to find a fix. That's annoying on Hidden object screens, frustrating on minigames like the one where you have to turn a safe dial and one where wires need to be connected, and downright exasperating on the tanagram puzzle where, if you're "holding" a piece when the cursor disappears... so does the piece. Maybe not everyone will have this problem but I've never had this on another one and there are plenty of others with more interesting stories.. I got this on sale for 50% off which I think was a fair deal all things considered. This wasn't a bad game. I liked the present-day setting, and the flashback scenes were okay. Although the story is a spoiler if you've not yet read the book, comme moi. Damn. Also, you need to use the watch in the lower right corner to see some of the scenes. Something I didn't pick up on until half-way through the game. The puzzles and HOS were easy, and I barely used the hint system. Good voice acting, and I really liked the music. It was subtle. The setting and graphics were great, and I liked the plot twist at the end. Major con: No travelling map. Come on, people! This is usually the main reason for my wanting a game to end. The dreary back and forth kills me. Also, this game was quite short... I finished it in about two hours... and it would have been much shorter with a travelling map. In all, I would recommend this if you're just paying a few bucks for it.. Curator Page: http:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/curator\/31028489\/A middling hidden object game whose point and click adventure elements really drag it down. The atmosphere is decent, but some cryptic design decisions force you to rely on the hint system far too much. There is still fun to be had, you just have to tolerate a lot of frustrating systems to get to it.For my full thoughts, check out the video review:https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=O3R0rp7mCf0&feature=youtu.be. Length:ShortStory:A bit dull.Visuals: mostly pretty dull, not the most inspiring.Sound: Voice overs are ok, some were a bit too quiet. Game is short enough for the music not to get annoying but a couple of the sound effects were a bit annoying, Volume was a bit all over the place, sound volumes not normalized properly.Puzzles:Very Easy100% Achievements: EasyCrashes, glitches, bugs: none that I encountered.More of a neutral than a recommend.. Be warned that this game will be in windowed mode. It makes the HO scenes more difficult because some of the objects are really miniscule! Beautiful art and remembrance of Gatsby's era. Music was unintrusive. Story was very average and there is a lot of backtracking. You have a map, but you can't instantly go to a scene. Story takes place at night and it is raining, so atmosphere can be depressing or mysterious depending on your mood. Controls were pretty clunky, especially in HO scenes. Puzzles were very easy. Took me under 2.5 hours, so very short.A pretty average game. Had a lot of potential, but didn't follow through. As I knew the story, there were no surprises. Buy on discount. Need a neutral rating. 5.5\/10 from me.
